IE 6 crashes on one a few pages of my site. 7 and 8 work just fine.

One of the pages is http://propdrop.com/blog

It comes up with "An error has occured with the script on this page"

    Line: 3

    Error: invalid argument.

    yadayada...

I'm racking my brains but can't figure out what's going on. I've pull out all the differences I can think of between this page and the pages it works fine on, but still it crashes like this.

Thanks in advance for your help!

line 3 is blank in your html file, try deleting it.

Upgrade your IE, 6 is too outdated.

Umm...ok. I'm using an ie tester tool so I have all versions of IE on my computer. You know, for cross-browser testing?

And believe it or not, about 30% of all IE installs out there are still IE 6.

That didn't fix anything. That blank line was on all other pages anyway, which work fine in IE 6.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks.

    Amen to that brother...

Okay. Firstly I don't know where you got that 30% figure from, but I'm pretty sure it's fairly lower than that (Globally). Secondly, your problem is that your IE6 Tester application is crashing because it's still a Beta application and not because it would normally crash if you had solely IE6 installed on your computer (it's probably a javascript problem on that page, note: I haven't actually looked at the page, i'm just guessing).

On my network of sites, which totals tens of thousands of visitors a day, of visitors that are using IE, about 20 to 30% are using IE 6. It sucks, but its real world data.

That's still a decent chunk, so it's worth doing compatibility testing.

You sure about that? You know exactly what I'm using?

It also happens with various browser shots applications as well. Javascript is the same on that page it's blowing up on as on other pages it works fine with.
