IE 10 is more anti Google (AdSense) than any other IE in the past

    If you're using AdSense on your site, don't be surprised to see a huge drop in impressions and earnings. Microsoft keeps offering an upgrade to their users and once the browsers are upgraded to IE 10 it's set (by default) to block AdSense ads.

    The question: is it the beginning of an end of AdSense as we know it, or is Google about to hit Microsoft with a huge lawsuit?

    OT:

    The only thing I have come up with, is placing the following meta tag right after the opening <head> tag.

    You should of course write some condition to display this.
    <meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=7'>
    Code (markup):
    As you have guessed though, this throws the design out a bit... but at least for the moment, you would know ie-10 will display ads, however I'm not sure about getting paid for any clicks with the DNT enabled by default.

    However.... I do have a proper fix works 100% which I don't want to make public yet, if your interested let me know... (I'm in the process of creating a blog about it)

    Sme strange activity, I'm not sure what they get here. Google might as well lock the search results for Microsoft products.

    I agree, Google can counter by just not allowing Google.com or Google anything to be used by IE (youtube, gmail, google.com, maps, etc), except the Chrome download page. Google is huge, and you can probably safely say that Google pretty much rules the internet. I think this would be a war Microsoft couldn't win. I am interested in seeing how this turns out.

    Cant remember where I heard this, it was recent though.... google apparently have 60% of internet user across Europe using their search engine but only a mere 40% in the US. I'd call that 50% of the market share? So a war of words(adwords) could go either way.
    ...and the plot thickens as Yahoo publishers turn to Bing who is owned by...
