Just got a letter from my service provider. Has anyone had this problem before? Sounds like BS.... Dear Customer, We are contacting you to advise you that the following domain name(s) have been determined by Verisign to be in violation of new Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) guidelines set forth in RFC 5897: Unfortunately, due to the violation, the domain name(s) will be canceled. If applicable, we will be issuing a refund for the remaining registration period. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to review RFC 5897 for further information at the following link: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5891 If you have any questions, please contact us by responding to this message. Thank you, Domain Services
Let me guess, you've registered some "symbol" domain name that you thought was "cool" instead of a proper IDN name & now it doesn't match the standards by Verisign & is going to be cancelled? What is the domain name in question?
