I have a good friend that just found out he and his family were screwed over by identity theft. They discovered it today and found out 32 credit cards were set up and thousands of dollars of products were shipped somewhere. All this happened within about a 2 week period. That is just wrong! I hope they catch the thieves. All their accounts had to be closed and changed. How sad.
A friend of mine had his indentity stolen a few months ago.Apparently someone went on a shopping spree in Spain.While he was in the U.S. Luckily he had crit card protection coverage.But it still took a few months to get straightened out.
it usualy takes a while (up to a year) to fix the credit back... But All the banks that i know give your money back if you were a victim of fraud.
That happened to my dad, but was just 1000 dollar since the bank found out about it. They payed him back Hope your friends family gets the money back
