Ideas to Promote my new Forum Please

Hi all...

Yesterday i started BlogCrash.com, a Community Forum for Bloggers

I would like to ask for some help with ideas to promote my forum.

I was thinking to offer an exclusive wordpress template that i have, for example.

But, since i'm just starting this project, all the ideas are welcome

one way of promoting your forum is joining other forums then start to advertise your forum.
you can also hire forum posters to help you make your forum look busy.

create a contest and announce your contest in various sites..People always love to win and with a small investment you will promote your site virally

 

Maybe offer the exclusive template i have?

That template costed me $150 dollars

But that a good idea... maybe i can offer the exclusive template to the most active 3 users during the next month (August)!

I really will have to think about it

Something like:
1 - Register on BlogCrash.com
2 - Write a post in your favorite Topic
3 - Write a review in your Blog about BlogCrash - Community Forum For Bloggers

And maybe...

Refer 10 bloggers to register in BlogCrash!

Provide some freebies!
This will bring in lots of members but you need to make them active!

 

You can offer in starting for highest monthly post contest (can be forever too).
As you are thinking, you can offer also for some dollar ($1) if some one is referring bloggers to your site.
I think DP is best place to make your forums site popular ..... because i never seen quick response like here.

Before you do any promo i would fill it with a lot of fake users and posts. This might sound unethical, but you're going to have a hard time promoting any user contributed site that does not already have a lot of posts.

I noticed you had some forum categories with no posts, this looks bad to anyone who will take the time to register and post. If you're not comfortable with doing this yourself i would hire some forum posters through the DP services section. Honestly though, its not worth your time to market a forum that doesnt look active.

Write unique articles about your forum and submit it into article directories with 2-3 links in author's bio. This will increase traffic as well as ranking in search engine.

 

I think if you can add an option to bookmark your threads would be a fine idea. Keep your forum junk free. Initially try to make your forum rich with content.
