Ideas & suggestions for our new site..

Hi everyone

We launched Liberty Beats last weekend with some video tutorials that are hosted on youtube. The sites based on teaching people computer music on a beginner’s level. There is lot of work involved like recording the tutorials and doing all the effects to them afterwards which is getting better with experience as well as myspace and facebook groups. We just want to know what we could do to give the site a step further so we can generate some kind of income so we can progress and continue to help people.

We still want to keep a majority of tutorials free (which is a good idea personally for unique visits) and hopefully generate some income from adsense so we are thinking of starting an e-commerce page with tutorials preferably CMS type pages Joomla + Virtuemart or Drupal + Ubercart any selling them anywhere from 99p

Any suggestions/tips/ideas would be grateful

Why not create a product out of it and launch it on Clickbank? You'd be lucky to do $10/day with adsense.

I agree with jayw1988. Pack your knowledge into an information product (video/audio/ebook) and sell it via clickbank. Selling info products are always more profitable than adsense.

Well Clickbank has 1000s of affiliates to promote your product for you, for a commission. If you can set up a site that converts a good % you'll do well.

The only thing is that Clickbank can be hard to break into if you don't know much about it.

I agree that Adsense isn't a great way to earn money online, though. Focus on selling products on your site. Give beginner material away, but save intermediate and advanced for paying customers.

You can market it by writing articles and asking bloggers to take a look at the site and link to it if they like it. The best way to get traffic is to get to the top of Google, and the easiest way to do that is by getting links. Writing articles and asking for links is the best method for that.

I've seen stuff about blogs/articles but I am no good at writing to be honest, do you know where I could start? any tips?

Articles and blogs are about facts and opinion.Basically as a whole,you just need to gather information about your topic and compile it as a paragraph for your article.
