I have been reading here, and else where, for a long while but as i use the tracking tool here this feels more like home somehow :)

I would appreciate some constructive criticism, something I tend to run from (u will see why from the site content *sigh*)

to be hard on myself (in the hope u won't need to do it) i need separate keywords on each page (not site global each page), more constant layout ... the site has evolved over several years and i need to consolidate the design i know *sigh* ... but without ripping the site, and me, apart too much could you point out any big errors please i need to charge as i have a couple of weeks i need to divert my mind and so site changes are a good thing to take my mind off other things.

Things i have done right appear to be sub directories, url (file/keyword) names etc but not much else..

The site jumped higher around the 19th of last month, but then dropped, but at the same time the server went down for 4 days... same time as the big G did its deep crawl ? and i now show only 14 links back even tho it did jump to 87 for a few days... not a lot by your standards probably but we all start somewhere.

one other q if i may ? am i right in thinking that i can never rank PR wise than one under the highest site linking to me ?

Please don't bite too much but pointers are appreciated.

    url is http://www.aest.org.uk/

That's a new one I'd never heard before. Let me ask you a simple question. How does any site become a 10? After all there are no 11s.

Your PR is the sharing of PR with all the sites that link to you. The lower the PR of the linking page the greater the number required to achieve a particular PR, but in theory if you have enough links from any PR page you could eventually get a PR10 rating.

Here is the URL to a chart that estimates the number of links required get a particular PR. The chart estimates that you would need 2.8 million PR1 links to drive a page to PR8.

    OK thanks compar

i only asked the question... did not mean it was something new... was just asking cause it was what it appeared to be to me from my newness to pr things.

i know all of you are FAR more brainy than me on such things, but if i don't ask i wont learn *sigh* nore will others who only read here.

Thank you very much for the link to look at, i will study it in the morning and learn.

Thanks for your time, i appreciate it a lot , honest.

You change your domain name to google.com. ;) Are there any other 10's besides google? I see Yahoo! is a 9.

Very cool! Where'd you get that info?

phpbb.com, dmoz.org, apple.com all sometimes are PR10... Search Google for www and you will find lots of PR10 and PR9s at the top.
