I know this might sound corny but try designing logos for a small fee. That will pay for your hosting and maybe branch out to other things as in designing sites for others. Hope this was helpful.
Unfortunately that is not that easy w/ the amazing competition we have here, unless you are really creative and a whiz at Photoshop (of which I am NEITHER), it is very difficult. That damn pen tool... PS: Try doing some other free lance work here like writing articles or forum posting or coding.
I'd strongly suggest making your logo smaller, it is pushing everything below the fold! I wouldn't give up on CPA. Did you try split testing or rotating offers? Maybe you just didn't have a good match. Matt

Maybe you should concentrate first on getting more traffic to your blog. How much traffic does your site average?
