I ran a proxy for a while but it not running anymore. I still get a good amount of traffic at that domain. They are mainly searching for porn (obviously), but do you guys have any creative ideas with where to point the traffic to make money?
Yeah, I know, I guess I was just trying to be a bit more clever. If it has to be porn, then it has to be. I even thought about hitting them up with an ad for the "fleshlight" (look it up if you must) as that is what they were about to do anyways. Any other clever ideas?
As much as 64% of the United States adult population is considered overweight, and this percentage is increasing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overweight The programmes and products you can promote in the weight loss market is enormous.
So the consensus is porn, eh? Too funny! Any other ideas? Kind of a fun thread to see what folks come up with. I hate letting traffic go to waste...
* dating * Impotence help (pills/pumps/guides) * Cars/expensive hobbies (proxies - nymphos at work surfing where they shouldn't - so you know they have some money and are bored. * Make Money products 'might' work - since they are at work now and probably bored of their jobs so they proxy the afternoon away... * Opt-ins for a free autoresponder 'babe of the day' for 7 days or 7 weeks or or (building a horny list... why not!) * AdultFriend Finder - BUT - they probably see those x times a day - be different * Vacation/getaway sites - perhaps they need a vacation - their jobs are stressfull, they need to 'release' their stress... * It's mostly men, i'd think quite a few things could be marketed from CB or outside it... I feel your pain - don't let that traffic go to waste. NC.
Awesome ideas, NCMedia. Maybe should try to turn it into a list. I've got a lot to think about, that's for sure. Keep 'em coming guys!
Filter it. why try to figure out what they want, when you can let them tell you what they want. Make a large table that fills up the screen and have maybe 3 or 4 cells for each row, and have 3 or 4 rows. For each cell put in a niche. Each niche should be completely different. If they're mainly looking for porn, you'll want to have a portion of that to filter to porn affiliates. Avoid generic terms like "teen" and "amateur". Stick with the more sub niche stuff like midget, goth, and fetish. I know it's funny, but it's those kinds of people that end up buying. You can also put up mainstream stuff that sort of fits into everyones life. Lose weight, get out of debt, etc. Just link directly to the affiliate and people will click for what they're looking for. Also, you can try for what we call in the industry, shockers. It's just an out of place ad, that doesn't fit with the typical traffic you get. It makes the user go "holy sh*t, I gotta see that". The more weird, the better. Like shemale midget fisting.
OK, now this thread is starting to catch fire! Actually Supper, I love your idea. I'm not exactly sure what they are looking for (besides porn) so letting them filter themselves out into whatever area they want to check out is pure genius! So, midget, goth, and fetish make more money than straight porn, huh? And my friends think I'm not learning anything doing this marketing stuff.
Subniches are easier to sell because they're less popular. There's 50 million teen sites out there, but there are only a few quality midget sites. You have to also remember, teen is pretty generic. People might be into asian teens, tall teens, short teens, fat teens, skinny teens, big boobed teens, tiny boobed teens, etc. I went over this in another post, so you can read it there. It's all explained in adult terms because those are easier to understand. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=860825
**I totally agree - but more so totally almost just wiped out from my chair from laughter - gotta love the adult industry - throw some scat and spycams into the mix too. If you don't know what scat is - well - ignorance is bliss trust me... NC.
Scat is a term used to describe the crap of animals in the woods, but it has a more interesting meaning when it is associated with sex.
