I have a question for webmasters out there. We have a promotion going to give away an iPod nano to one lucky winner out of 500 who rate their web hosting company. We are driving traffic to the website: www.webhostingusers.com via PPC and banner ads; however, we are not getting many webmasters or small business owners, etc to rate their web host for a change to win the iPod. We have vastly streamlined the process where users can register and rate their host in one step. Does everyone have an iPod now? Would an iPhone or some other award to the winner be more enticing to webmasters? We are looking for ideas that would help. Thanks.
Here are a couple of other thoughts. The iphone might be difficult to deal with since you would have to deal with activation and the monthly bill and many people are already signed up for a 2 year service contract. If everyone has an ipod, then what about a $200 gift card for itunes? Would that be better? How about a portable DVD player? What would you see as a great award?
gotta be the iPhone, even with the activation and monthly bill.. but then, i'm not into mp3 players/ipod's personally, a personal dvd player is kinda cheap, (or they are over here in the UK), and I don't own a TV by choice so wouldn't want one. $250 or an iPhone, no contest
Agreed, $250.00 or iphone. I went ahead and chose the $250.00 because that appeals to anyone. However, the iphone is extremely valuable right now and anyone who won it and didn't want it could turn around and sell it for quite a bit more than $250.00. So it is a toss up.
