Ideas for growing subscriber list

My goal this month is to double the size of my subscriber list to my internet marketing site/blog. I'm using a name squeeze type page for the main page. I also have sign up boxes on every page of my blog.

I'm open to ideas - what would you do if you had to double your list in 30 days?

first, your "page can't be found."

Second, if I had 30 days to double my list:
    I'd run an adwords campaign
I'd send a special email to my existing list that said "if you get someone to sign up for my newsletter, I'll send you a free white paper on...
I'd focus on getting more traffic to my site (generic answer but it's true)

I just checked the page and it loads up fine. Maybe you can try again. Thanks.

Yes definately offer some kind of bonus for telling a friend.

This will give you an instant response, Also you can include this as part of your standard email series to new members to create a sort of viral effect.

I did a $10 amazon GC promotion for my newsletter. I felt that it helped a lot because I noticed that the percentage of new sign-ups declined once the contest was over.

Is that for the site in your siggy? I think $10 may be too little for the market I'm in. But that's a good idea... again along the lines of providing a valuable incentive for signing up.

Today I started offering a free package containing over 500 ebooks with resell rights to anyone who signs up to my list. It's been working great so far.
