Christmas is one of my two favorite time of the year (one is summer). A Christmas website would be cool for me.

Christmas Lights are my passion - I'm barely above the fold in Google for that, so I hope none of you professional SEO's knock me down any more for that one! ;-)

P.S. Ditto comments that "floating snowflakes" on web site are BAD ... ditto those that play xmas music in the background - it's cute ... for about 5-10 seconds. I might also add that those floating snowflakes are typically done in Javascript, so check out your CPU usage when looking at a site with 'em.

    Fryman some ideas for you:

How about some christmas ecards sent to people on christmas time?
How about some lucky prizes ?
How about some food like recipes which are most common in that time?
    A wishing ecard machine.

I do have a small recipe section, and the ecards would be difficult since it is a Spanish site and there aren't many ecards I can get hold of. The net is still an English world

I have noticed many referrals in my logs from transtlation pages... seems that many visitors are translating my pages, maybe it would be a good idea to have an English version...

But getting a site ranked in Spanish is a piece of cake, but English... I have almost given up on English seo

Don't forget a section about how Santa gets around the world overnight, gets down chimneys and all that stuff. Sites which explain all this are an absolute godsend for parents struggling to explain to their children that Santa can still get through a bricked up fireplace!

You could link to, and maybe get a few ideas from, http://www.noradsanta.org/ (nothing on it just now) but see here for an idea of the material it contains.

Actually, the original tradition says that santa entered the houses through a window. Then in USA they changed the version and made him go down a chimney

How about something interactive as in 'Check Your Xmas IQ' with a set of random questions about christmas, etc? Sounds a bit silly but at least it's something different
