Ideally, how many words can be on a single page with respect to SEO

I was wondering about the no. of words that can be on a single page. I thought some 400-500 words was ok, w.r.t. SEO.

But is it ok to have a page with 1500 words?

Ideally, how many words can be there in a page, from an SEO point-of-view.

    Please help.

    Many thanks in advance.

a good page will need 400+ words if you want it to rank/compete for specific keyword and there is no limit for words in a page

Yeah, 400-500 words are enough but don't make it spammy as you put your keywords on your content.

No. of words don't matter. Your content represent ur product or services. Always try to put enough words those cud explain ur services or product. Bcoz ur content makes user to stop on ur site or page. So it is better to concentrate in explanation of ur services or product rather than no. of words. They cud be less than 400 or more than 1000.

Write as much as you want, point is write unique and satisfactory content. Number of words really does not matter but what really matters is the intangible amount of quality in the content.

If you are not stuffing your keyword too much you can write as much content as you can.

The reason behind to keep your content 250 to 300 words is that user tempt to read it. So, if your page has more words then the chance are that he/she won't read it and leave your page.
