Ideal Size for video

    Hi,

    What is the ideal size for a full-screen video? Measurements and resolution- whatever the standard measurement is.

    I currently have a video which is a small pop-up that I want to be re-created as a full-screen video on all computers.

    I am paying my tech-person to re-create it in full-screen-size, and now she is asking me for exact dimensions.

    The movie must display very clearly on TV's, computers, DVD players, etc.

    What is the appropriate size that I want?

    DVD resolution is 720×480, that should cover all you want to do with it ;)

    but wouldn't a dvd quality mpg-2 be just fine for monitors larger than the naive dvd res?

    Personally I have found that 300x250 works the best for me (I have a blog though, and primarily use youTube videos).

    That said I think that full size videos regardless of the site are kind of obnoxious. But hey, I am sure there are those who prefer full sized too.

    yeah, 320x240 is usually the recommended web size. but that would not work well for DVD's and full screen video ;)
