Ideal page size and page load time

    Does google index images? Does page size and load time affect rankings? Whats the ideal page size & load time? My home page is abt 350k (including images) and load time is about 7.5 secs..Am i good or needs improvements?

    This is becoming less of an issue as technology improves and more people make the switch to high speed internet. Your visitors and search engine spiders both still want your pages to load quickly though. 350kb probably is too big, but it is not as much of an issue as it was 5 - 10 years ago. Ideally every page would be under 150kb and would load in less than 2 seconds. Sometimes that just isn't possible though.

    i dont think page size and page load time should be such an important issue but from the visitors point of view 7.5 seconds is too much time for waiting

    try to improve a little bit on that if possible :):)

    i agree with vansterdam .

    It depends on who your site targets , where they are coming from , what type of speed they have . 350 KB seems perfectly alright to me .
