Ideal Keyword density percentage

    I want to know the ideal keyword density percentage of a page, I heard that it is less than 4% is that true?

    I think the best thing to do is to write for your readers and not for the search engines. If you follow this simple rule then you should always be fine.

    There is no such thing like the ideal KW density, it's all relative with Google and depends on competition, their overall KW density and the global setup of your site. smintsrt's advice is the best - write for your visitors and don't stress on KW density.

    I never worried much about keyword density, but anything under 7%~8% is good..

    Forget keyword density, this technique is going to harm your site.
    Write naturally for readers not for search engines.

    There is no right or wrong answer here because the numbers are usually given by experts based on their experience and knowledge and not information coming directly from google. Somehow the figure should be between 4-6%.
