i don't think there is and "ideal CTR". Depends on your site, content, users and much more. I think, if your CTR is based on real clicks, there is no perfect CTR, just the one you got.

My ideal CTR is 10%. 1/10 leaves my site and makes me money + have a chance to return, while the other 9 are on and hopefully enjoying themselves.

I enjoy having a higher CTR, but I also like my visitors to enjoy the sites I put my efforts into.

No such things. Try and increase the CTR to high as possible as long as its legal. and not breaking the TOS.

Entertainment sites have high volume , good CTR, but sad payouts :(.

Niche sites have less traffic, better CTR and decent Payouts.

    Hypothetical case :

Someone has an entertainment site. It gets around 1000 visitors a day, 5 - 8% CTR, The site earns around $10

Now there is a Niche site, gets around 100 visitors with 15 - 20% CTR earns around $10 - $12.

So more than looking for ideal CTR, look for a decent niche.

Ideal CTR is about 112%. If over 100% of the people that visit your site, click your ads, you have a magically good site.

its very hard to get 10% ctr for a popular website.

Only click intensive site can get 10%ctr
