Idea for new site, is this allowed?

I'm starting a new site and I want to use Amazon affiliates on it. The thing is that I don't know if this would be allowed. Let me explain.

Let's say I like beer (example, not really) and people often asks me about beer. I want to create a website that compile several beers that Amazon sells. It would have several categories (for example, German Beer, American Beer) and several subcategories (with the brand of the beer itself). Maybe I would add a blog too, but that would be secondary.

But I've read the TOS and I'm a bit worried because of this:

(a) do not have as their principal purpose advertising and marketing the Amazon Site and driving sales of products and services on the Amazon Site;

My main purpose is compiling this type of items and then try to get a few bucks while doing it, but it's allowed to do that?

Sounds like they mean you need to put useful content on your site and not just Amazon products. Adsense has a similar policy as they regularly ban MFA sites. Many commission Junction advertisers will deny you as well. If you do have an account that one is okay since it was approved, but you'll need to put useful content on future sites.

 

The idea in itself is a good one. However no site will hold water solely from adverts. You definitely need quality contents to go with your site. For example, many sites selling jewelry have Wikipedia style articles about gemstones. Also a potential buyer will have more confidence in buying things from a website where the seller shows some kind of expertise.

I wanted to avoid creating new content, as this is not the point of the site, but I think that I could make it that way and add reviews an so, as I've been reading this forum today deeply and that's what people advise.

And another question:

If I get accepted for a site and then create a new one (just another project no related to this one I'm thinking about), do I have to create another account or can I just use the same codes?

 

you just need to have 1 account. but you can create additional Tracking ID to track each additional sites.
