I've just started a blog (which I'm still very new to). It's only a couple of days old so things are still a bit up and down at the moment. I'm using a failry old WP theme, which is doing the job for the time being. I'm not much good with css, and I'm struggling to get a logo put up in front of the grey header. I had it there ok in Firefox, but it was all messed up in IE...something I'll work on later. Any criticism, pointers or advice would be most welcome for the site as it is though! Thanks
G'day Scozzie Nice Blog. I would try and make your title stand out a bit more, it is a bit plane jane if you know what i mean. You want it to stand out so that people remember it. Also, why dont you try centering the blog. At the moment the whole page seems to be aligned over to the left, well on my browser anyway. I know it hasnt, but it gives the perception that there should be a menu bar down the left hand side, however it has been cut off. Also, i notice you have a fair few ads. Try to focus more on providing your users with useful content and less on trying to shove ads down there throat. People sometimes get scared off sites that have lots of ads, or they become sceptical. You want to earn your readers trust, and do this buy providing them with quality content. Good luck with your blog. Cheers Jake Ewebreview.com
Hi there, Thanks for looking over it. Yea, I've removed those ads from the Header to start with. Content is something I'm trying to work on...I was initially going to mainly go with technology news type stuff but as I started writing I found ti was easier to start including more generic stuff too. Also, which browser are you using? It's centered on mine with both FF3 and IE7.
