I'd Like To Warn Others About Something, But Not Sure If TOS Permits It??

I had a really bad experience with a "make money online" program that I purchased. I know, I was stupid to buy into it in the first place, but I'd like to admit my stupidity and pass along my experience to perhaps prevent this from happening to someone else. I'm just a little unclear if I'm allowed to do so according to the Digital Point Terms of Service.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

I do agree with 'dlm' You can go on with your experience, as far as its not for promoting anything (against to TOS). That may help others to take care before jumping to the same hole.

Post short detail without mentioning the exact product name...

There are a lot of things that we thing wrong because we are not benefiting from it but others do, so before you do something than can be a good or bad to other people, please make sure you are doing it right...

    Post short details please..

Okay. Here's what happened. I have been following this guy for quite some time and he regularly sends me e-mails advising of new videos on his site. I have to admit that I have learned a few things from his material, but all of his programs are outrageously expensive, like $1,500 or more for personal coaching and the like.

So when he offered a new software desktop program that sounded like it had just the type of training I'm needing -- and he was offering it for half price -- $77 -- I jumped on it. (I know -- stupid on my part.)

Right off the bat, I got no link or anything. I sent several e-mails over four days-- called his 800 number several times. No response. After the fourth day, he sends me an e-mail apologizing, saying he went out of town right after he launched his product and didn't know the links weren't working. Sent me the download link and everything was forgiven.

Then I started going through the program and found that probably 90 percent of the material is just copies of the free videos that he has on his site, all of which I've already seen. The rest of the stuff was of absolutely no help to me whatsoever. He was offering a 30-day guarantee, so I sent him a nice note letting him know that his system wasn't going to be of any help to me unless he was planning on adding more information -- gave him a chance to at least respond before I asked for a refund. Got no response. Ten e-mails later, still no response. I have asked for a refund over and over and over -- no response. Three or four days ago I get an e-mail saying, "Oh, I guess my mail isn't working right. Isn't e-mail a pain??" Sends me another download link for the product, no response, ignored my refund request. Don't know why he sent me another download link. I've been sending e-mails ever since saying, "No, you didn't read my e-mail. I'm requesting a refund." Nothing. Paypal says I'm out of luck because it's a digital product.

    That's it in a nutshell.

Does he have any social links like Facebook or Youtube? Maybe a blog? If he does, go there and tell your story. If he gets any kind of traffic at all, it will get his attention. Others will want to know why he hasn't responded properly to you and he will have to settle the issue or risk losing followers.

Yep, call him out right on his blog or social network pages for everybody to see it. This way he has to respond and also others will see it and not want to deal with him.

If you don't mind sharing, who is it so that people know not to deal with him?

That's the bad part about paypal is they won't refund you for a digital product I try and buy things that are offered thru clickbank that way if it does suck then I can get my money back and not get scammed. Hope he gets what he deserves and out of business. Another idea is tell him you will tell everyone who he is and what he has done if he doesn't give you your money back that you will out him on all the forums.

Can you post the name of the person or the system you talking about i am sure somebody on here will know who you talking about

I have brought systems that was useless to and you can get discouraged but you have to keep going

I would agree this guy is probably on one of these forums social networking sites somewhere online and you can call him out while he trying to get new business from someone else

If you had a bad experience you should tell people who the person is so other people want fall for the same scam good luck

This is really hard for me -- really goes against my nature. I always like to believe the best in people. In his videos he seems like such a nice guy. I've been an affiliate marketer for over two years and have never experienced anything like this.

The guy's name is Marcus Campbell. He has two sites: Simple Sites Big Profits and Simple Blog Profits. They're kind of intertwined because he uses the same e-mail for both.

If anyone is familiar with him and I'm accusing someone unjustly, then I apologize. I'm just very frustrated with his lack of concern and refusal to even reply to my e-mails. What he probably doesn't realize is that I'm a trusting enough person that if he had even outlined for me what he planned to add to his program in the future (which I gave him the opportunity to do) I probably would have believed him and stuck in there. And I'm not buying into the "isn't e-mail a pain" excuse. (And in case anyone is wondering, I've checked my spam folder each time to be sure his replies didn't go there." I sure feel sorry for people who paid the one-on-one consultation fee of nearly two grand if my experience is any indication of getting in contact with the guy. His 800 number is definitely worthless -- just a recording to leave a message with never a return phone call. I've left several.

I pondered over this and decided that I would pass along his name. I have very limited funds to re-invest for training purposes and the $77 was hard to part with to get nothing in return. Perhaps this will prevent this from happening to someone else in my same situation.

It appears you have given this person every chance to communicate so do not feel bad about naming them.

I find it a lame excuse to claim that they went away for a few days right on the launch of a new product.
If it is true then it shows they are lacking in profesionalism.

Emails excuse - thats a 50 - 50 call email can mess up at the most inopertune moment however putting both these items together I have to be honest and say I personally would not beleive it.
Now that is me but I am a very sceptical person when it comes to getting excuses for bad support.

Update: Just wanted to let you know that I finally did get my refund from this guy. The way I finally got it accomplished was kind of complicated. I had opted-in to his mailing list from another e-mail account, different than the one that I had purchased the product through. He was sending me e-mails regularly, so I responded to one of them and informed him I would be removing my name from his list because of the way I was being treated in regards to a purchase I had made through a different e-mail account. I also told him that I planned to let others know about my experience and that I would be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau.

He sent me an e-mail back saying, "Oh, I didn't know you were having a problem. You need to create a ticket through this link," which sent me to a third e-mail address, one that is listed nowhere on his site. I did so and after about five days, and one more request, I finally got my money back.

Just wanted to be fair and let you know that he did refund me, but it was quite a chore to get it accomplished. Don't know if he's doing it deliberately or if he just has a really poor system in place for following up on e-mail inquiries and returning phone calls.

Its not about poor system. Just that ur message threatened him that he might lose other clients also... he send u the refund money..... even though u got the refund its better to spread the air so that others wont get caught with this type of spam...
