If this is not the right forum - I apologize please pm me which would be the right one. But I wasn't sure if there was a script that could help me with this.

A little over ayear ago I made the calssic mistake of bulk checking some domain names - - "Awesome their available" "I'll buy them on Monday".
Of course Monday came and only 50% were still available - -

Does anyone know how I can find out who registered that domain?
(they let it expire so I got it - so I'd like to send them a belated thankyou note
    Thanks
    Dan

It's automated. You check domain availability through an unethical source and the software automatically registers it if it is available, counting on the person who searched for it to pay a hefty premium to buy it from them. If they don't get an offer they automatically drop it and get their registration fee back. Always check domain availabilty from a trusted source like GoDaddy.com or risk losing your domains entirely.

Did you try a whois search?

If it is expired, I don't know if you could find any info on the previous owner from the wayback machine or not...

Concentrate on other aspects of your life. (not taunting)
for example; Ask yourself, what happened to you as a child
that would make you find a cow/bull in pain interesting?

I have never checked for a domain from any other service other than GoDaddy. I have checked multiple domains (ones that were available) and although I have not registered them or have no plans to months and even years later they are still available.

I would advise you to do a private registration though. Saves a lot of hassle and of course people tracking you down over the net to try and capture your domain.

Movidalatina = == Just so you can sleep at night - That cow/bull is not in pain! That's what bovine do when they are reaching for food. So if you hand them grass/bread they stick their tounge out -the reason they look upward like that is since their eyes are on parallel sides of their head - they cannot actually see what is right in front of them and they are going for the spot where they remember the food being. If you notice cows will move their head (and eyes) to see what's going on; they have a blind spot. So Thanks for your concern but my avatar bull is fine:D

    Everyone else:
Thanks for the advice - -
