Been masterminding this for years but unfortunately haven't mustered up the cash yet to sponsor this. Are we not all able to make decisions concerning our budgets etc. Have an opinion whether we should go to war etc.? Why are all these decisions put into the hands of a few politicians? The web has been around long enough that we should already have some website where people can submit ideas, other vote on them, sort ideas according to popularity etc. And if an idea gets a popular enough votes, the politicians should be FORCED to enact them. That is real democracy, not that joke in the US and pretty well everywhere else in the world, where we have to wait 4 years to vote, practically impossible to impeach someone, dirty tricks behind closed doors serving the executive class, and when it is finally time to vote, you only have TWO choices most of the time. Same as under communism. And Sarah Palin is a choice? That is truly scary.
Contrary to popular belief around the globe the US is NOT a democracy. It is a constitution-based federal republic. And your suggestion would be immediately declared unconstitutional by every court in the USA, including USSC. There is no reason why you could not design and build a website for political discussions -- there are already quite a few like by all political parties. But there is no way to force politicans to take any notice of it. >>And Sarah Palin is a choice? That is truly scary. I agree holeheartedly.
