Hi. I like the styles by Christian Bullock, including the one you're using at your forum, "Absolution." That said, my concern is not with the style itself, but with the frequency of its use by other forum administrators. In other words, I have seen this style used at several forums already. I do not mean to say, however, that you should choose another style; rather, that you'll have to modify it in some way(s) to help off-set the feeling of deja vu that will unfortunately beset many guests. Among the modifications that may be made, of course: creating a decent new logo, making a customized icon set (or using a ready-made one posted by graphics designers at administrator resource forums), and altering colors in such areas as your background and headers. If you're under a free host, though, I wonder if you are permitted to do that latter. Finally, are you able to make a guest welcome message? It should quickly become apparent what your forum is about by merely browsing the index page of your forum, but a summary of what your forum is about near the top of the forum shouldn't hurt, and you may also point guests to a few topics of note (e.g., the rules list, your history of the forum and motivation for running it, and a customized FAQ). If you can't add a guest welcome message above the forum listing, maybe you can create a forum viewable only to guests, and then use the description area? Regards, Kevin
