I noticed that sizes of icons in this sprite were changed and now they look weird.

I actually like them very much for 2 reasons. Firstly they are unique and I've not seen any like them before. Secondly because they are green they go very well with the green motife of DP.
So all in all I would say they are a success. And I don't think the've been enlarged recently.

The sizes have not changed on our end. What browser are you using? Are you by chance using Firefox and reporting your user agent as something else?

    Guilty as charged. :)

When I change it to something else, everything seems to be OK again. Thanks.

Firefox doesn't have the CSS functionality necessary to support retina graphics. So they are specifically disabled for Firefox. What you are seeing is an attempt at retina graphics, but in a browser that can't do it.
