    I am thinking of opening an account in ICICI as SBI is not accepted on paypal.

    What kind of ICICI debit card will work on paypal?

    Only Credit Card will work in India. Debit Card (any bank) not accepted.

    Done a lot of research on this and many people are saying that ICICI Smart Shopper Silver Debit Card is working.

    if you are going to use it on paypal then get a Real CC, you can get it against minimum FD of INR 25000.
    and if you can't get a CC then go for a master debit card, bcoz most of them comes with pre activated for international transactions.

    Well Even I tried attaching my SBI and HDFC card to Paypal but didn't work so eventually I had to connect my Paypal to my Bank account. Now it is only ICICI and Axis that allows this facility else it is always easier to have a credit card for any Indian bank.
