ICICI Bank (India) - Want to open a new Paypal acc- Need help

Can someone confirm that ICICI accounts are good to go with Paypal?

Is bank account enough to verify paypal? Is CC still a mandatory verification method?

If you are using your ICICI acc with Paypal then please reply back with your feedback and suggestions :)

    Thank You

I am using paypal with ICICI bank for the last many months. I have faced no problems so far. Currently I withdrew 500 pounds to my ICICI bank on 24 march and received the sum today i.e. 26 march by end of the day.

You can now easily verify using your bank account to raise your withdrawal and sending limits but still you will face lots of problems doing online transaction like - If you try to buy domains on godaddy using bank acc verified paypal, you won't be able to. this problem will occur on many websites as paypal would ask you to link credit card or debit card.

Any bank would work fine. Indian banks are all in contract with PayPal India. Check it out in their toc page. I'm using HDFC and SBI account for 2 years now. But I can assure you that ICICI would also cause you no problems. Some of my friends are using it.

ICICI bank accts get along very smoothly with PP. Credit card is not mandatory anymore to make a paypal account. However, the compulsion has now changed to a PAN card.

Well, ICICI is one of the worst private bank of India. Many people have closed their accounts due to their high fee on anything.
I will better suggest you to go for HDFC.

even HDFC and other private banks charges very high fees. Like you need to pay Rs 10000 for opening an account.

better you try Govt Banks where you can open account in just 1000.

SBI, PNB and Canara Banks are doing well with PP.

Don't link and verify Paypal with any of your Bank accounts or Debit or Credit Cards. If Paypal limit account for any reason, you will be in trouble. Always use VCCs to verify Paypal. HDFC Bank is offering VCCs, and now ICICI also.

You can open account in HDFC bank. then open paypal account and add HDFC bank account after 6 months. you can apply for Credit Card as Bank rule. you can buy domain by credit card or PayPal too.
