ICICI Bank - foreign currency Cheque

    I had deposited foreign currency cheque ( check) USA Dollars on 15th December 2009 in ICICI Mumbai branch, I have still not got the cleared funds into my account :( .. They told me that it will take 21 -23 days and still its not cleared

    What must i do ???

    Don't worry!!! You'll get cleared as they told. One of my check was cleared after 32 days in ICICI bank. Please be patient...

    No Friend.... Christmas and Newyear had each each holiday, one for Christmas and another for Newyear.. ie 2 days

    I called them before...they saying go to the branch.. I went to the branch, they took the copy of the slip ..

    Sometimes it takes extra time specially coz it was holiday season. and if check is replaced the company u got it from can issue a new 1 by cancelling the old one

    if you deposited the check in your bank don't worry it will be there, unless there is a problem with the check like lake of signature of yours on it.

    I am surprised that foreign currency cheques still require more than 30-32 days for clearing! :eek:
    This is simply absurd and just does not justify the present era of fast communication!
    It would be worthwhile to refer to RBI's website and dig out if any time frame is stipulated for the same.
    This bank is specifically known to use customer's funds at will and hence it is better to be alert.

    when the cheque issued ? normally they valid upto 6 months.
    i deposited $ check of adbrite and it took a month to process and deposit in my sbi. foreign currency cheques takes time.
