State-controlled marriage is such a terrible idea. Instead of homosexuals getting into it, heterosexuals should be getting out of it.

Marriage should be between two or more people, and their church or legal council if they wish. Government should not be allowed to sanction, or not to sanction, relationships between private citizens.

Just for the info, in India also Gay marriages are legally permitted according to last year's Supreme Court Verdict, though one wouldn't dare to make it a public announcement, as he/she might face heat of the religious parties.
