Migraines: When I get them they are severe, and they could last for days. I've suffered with them since childhood, I've tried everything, sometimes with relief, other times none. One day it was too much, so I followed my mind and wrapped 6 ice cubes in a bandana then tied it around my head attaching the bandana at the back, 2 cubes at the forehead, 2 on the left side, 2 on the right side, when it got too cold to bear I would remove it then after a short while put it back on, before long I was feeling better. since then whenever it gets too much to bear I use this self made remedy. It might not be right for everyone!
Ill have to try that! I get migraines a fair bit too and NOTHING seems to work. In fact Im going to make sure the ice cube tray is full so Im ready!
That is very similar to what I do. I stick my head in the snow for about a half an hour at a time. The neighbors laugh at me. I just tell them I am snipe huntin.
Sticking your head in a basin/sink full of icy water also works well if you're desperate. I don't get migraines as much as I used to - but I found than hanging my head and shoulders face down off the end of a low bed (e.g futon) and putting my head on the floor helped. Kinda like a half body wimpy head stand.
I'm sorry guys, I must confess. I've never had a migraine in my life. I just thought it would be fun to say that I stick my head in snow. Not really trying to be funny, just trying to add light to the post.
