We should not forget that shewag can do what ever rohit has done in the earlier two games... Shewag can be even more dangerous...:)

Shewag will be at his best when he opens the innings, but on the other side rohit can play the same way at any position, he showed that in IPL...So IMO, shewag should not be replaced in the opening slot, if he is fit to play....

Yup, no one can take his place.. :)

Virender Sehwag is often noted for his extremely attacking style of batting, and in 2005 he was described by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack as the "most exciting opener in the world" due to his aggressive style in Test matches, his strike rate being inferior only to that of Adam Gilchrist and Shahid Afridi. Sehwag has also been noted for his apparent disregard for the match situation, exhibited by aggressive batting even when his team is in a poor position or after being out manoeuvred by the bowler in the recent past. This is a two-edged sword as it allows him to not be psychologically hindered by previous failures, but can also lead to excessive aggression. He was quoted by Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer as a sophisticated slogger. But over the years, his style has changed from "reckless hitting" to that of "controlled aggression", according to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald. Previously Sehwag was known predominantly as an offside player, with a weakness against straight short pitched bowling. However in the last 2 years he has improved his leg side and bouncer hitting considerably. This is shown in the recent ODIs against New Zealand where he utilised the pull, hook and flick shots to devastating effect.

Today I read in the newspaper that there is some misunderstanding between Dhoni and Sehwag and thats why he didn't allowed Sehwag to play. :(
According to Hindustan "Sehwag doesn't have any injury and neither its said by team management.. Only DHoni is saying that Sehwag got injury.."

Last year also Dhoni did something like this during Australia tour..

And then Sehwag made his entry by hitting the 2nd Triple Century :D
And then DHoni had to celebrate his success even when he didn't want. :p

Hey this one sounds really bad mate, Sehwag is the perfect opener for india, They should have to clear any problem between them and come with the team spirit to get the world cup for india. .

I hope everything will be fine soon, And i don't think, Dhoni brings personal issues in the match, He is such a cool person dude!!

I find this issue to be nothing but an attempt to de-moralize the high spirits of the Indian team.

The incident in Australia was a disciplinary action against Viru for not showing up on time in the nets. I, for one like the leadership quality of Dhoni and he has to be strict to maintain discipline and efficiency of the team...even if that means punishing a senior member as good as Viru.

Now..let us not drag the past and spoil the perfect present by such unpleasent stories.....

    Regards,

    RightMan

Opening ceremony and rain newswatch - No sign of the toss. Or the cricket. The covers are being folded back on and it's starting to rain quite steadily now.

Opening ceremony newswatch - It's been abandoned. The cricket should get underway soon, which is in about 12 minutes, but the fans are deprived of Alesha Dixon and Co., and the opening ceremony's been ditched. Oh. Dear. Still, not even the ICC can prevent the rain falling. It's been an inauspicious start to say the least.
