Hey i just found that @ Paris they decided today that anybody can register a domain name with any extension he want.

So you may have seo.digitalpoint, or domain.seo ...

also they want to allow the use of any character in the domain name. right now only 35 characters are allowed, they will allow up to 100,000 characters.

The new extensions like .seo , .sex , .whateveryourwant , .newyork, will be available in just a few months!

I think I will stick to .com for now. Don't see a reason to create my own domain extension.

Is this related to their attempts to get all adult content placed on .xxx?

Yeah it costs money to get a TLD extension if it were free people would make stupid domains that were hard to remember

Well that's good one way but that will create too much confusion I guess :( ... Price of 2,3 and 4 letter domains will surely drop now..

This decision is going to create a lot of confusion among web surfers and it is going to make people extremely dependent upon Search Engines....
