I am considering buying IBP 10 Standard. I have experience with SEO and I think I already know the main factors that affect rankings. However, I'm starting to work on sites for clients and I think such a tool might be helpful, mainly for the tracking and reporting features. Could those who used the full version (not demo) give some feedback here. I want to know if it's worth the price and if the SEO tools can actually help someone who already knows SEO. Also, does anyone know if there are sites that sell the software for cheaper than $250.
IBp i used the demo version.....but i think SEO elite is much better..i still use for my proxy.. one more reason to go more it comes at half the price of IBP.....if u need a copy just Pm me with your price.....
am using IBP ... and its good for SEO (for newbie and for an SEO person too) its very useful to get the needful info or work done Quickly with a single click ... if u can afford for IBP then go for it
I'm now using IBP. I think it's a very good software for those who are new to SEO or for webmasters looking to improve their SE rankings without learning much about SEO. However, I didn't find it very helpful myself. If you read a lot about SEO and stay up to date yourself, IBP won't give you more than you already know. It can however make some of the work more automatic and the reports can be helpful. I found the SE ranking reports to be the most useful feature.
IBP used to be cool. Now it's a monster with lots of absolutely useless features you won't be using anyway. It's a nice toy to play with, and then say "oh, **it, I spent so many time with IBP, and got almost no results! " I think its main problem is that it's just overloaded with unnecessary functions that do more harm than good. Be prepared to spend many hours trying to understand "what's this, and why's that?" I'd suggest using more practical tools like SEO SpyGlass (competition analyzer used by many big SEO companies) or Rank Tracker (this is much like "the SE ranking reports" IPM was talking about, but much faster, nore reliable, and costs 5 times less )
If you're wanting it for the search engine reporting, then use something like http://www.interwebbing.com. We use them because they're a service rather than software - so you don't have to worry about IP bans, or anything else. If you meant tracking visits, then ignore me, use Google Analytics (obviousyl ) IBP is OK for beginners to SEO, but not a lot of use for anything else.
Guys, wat abt webposition gold ?? Is there a good tool to parse the html page for defined keywords and report if it is well SEO'd ??
For some years WPG has been specifically named by Google as a tool to avoid. IBP Business Edition is ideal if you can be the white-label supplier for an SEO company in the West. You will recoup the price very shortly. I worked for a company that charged $195 per audit report, so they recouped their investment within a day or two.
I bought IBP several months ago after looking at demos for quite some time. Here's my review with some important questions this software brings up: IBP's emphasis on on-page meta-tags is a bit out of date but I knew that going in. I think they know it too which is why they're adding other features. There's no discussion on the juggling act of trying to optimize several different keywords on one page typically the home-page. That's the real world. Yes, other pages should be optimized by other keywords but we don't always start with a clean slate. I find the Arelis link exchange module as useless as others I've had. You spend so much trying to administer this thing, it's easier just to track partners on a piece of paper. And this doesn't remove the obstacle of unresponsive link partners, the real stumbling block for link exchanges. Is it worth the time anymore? Are the optimizing techniques for the different search engines different enough so that they are in fact mutually exclusive? If I optimize for Yahoo will I hurt Google? You've got to take some of the page optimizing suggestions with a grain of salt. Only you know what is practical and what isn't. I try to improve the important ones and leave the lower ones go. The one score idea is good (85%, 92%, etc). I try to improve that score as much as I can. I'm still working through the keyword module. V 10 is quite different than earlier versions and there is a learning curve. IBP offers a top 10 guarantee although I've never looked at the fine print. IF you have a not-too-broad keyword, and IF you are optimizing the page for just that keyword and IF you follow all the on page and off page suggestions including backlinks, I guess you can do quite well. You've got to get over the "trust" hump. Your on-page content is serious stuff to trust to a software.
