Iamboredr.com: Where Bored Rendezvous

Hi fellow DPs,

Today I just launched my very first forum site: Iamboredr.com!! It took me almost 1 month + to customize and add plugins (heh heh, I know that's long but i'm really new to this!)

What this site about? The title said it all! It's for all of us who are bored, nothing to do.. and just wanna make friends and enjoy some entertainment! I believe all of us is bored at least once a day (OK OK, i'm like many times a day) so, that's the reason why I started this forum.

It has a adsense sharing revenue program too where 40% goes to the poster and 10% goes to the last member who reply. Now you might think i'm greedy taking 50% of it, but as you guys know.. it will all go to the hosting fee and etc..

So.. if you have the time, I appreciate any feedback on how to improve the site further!

I like the site, the colours work well together and the forum is easy enough to read.

I noticed that there are a lot of threads/sections in the forum, are these all needed or can they be condensed a bit?

You have quite a lot of space down the left side of the page towards the bottom, maybe you could put some more google ad's here?

Yea, i totally agree with the left side bar thingy, I can't find any other mod to add in, wanted to put in top posters.. but I can't find one that can easily put in the sidebar..

I don't really want to put any more ad as it might make the site look too saturated with ad~ do you think a site look cheapo if there's too many ad??

I'm now trying to gain traffic... it's hard to be noticed in this big internet world!

I like the top part of the site. However I think the logo can be cleaned up a bit. The person icon's border seems to look jaggy.

Below the header area, I think your blue bars can use some gradient on it.

 

Gradient on the border ya, i'll see whether i can come up with some.

Any suggestions for the left side bar??

Hmm.. even though it's nice, it's so hard to get pple. I hide all my the other empty forum so pple will not be "scared" to post...

I couldn't take a look because it took a looong time to load. Is it something with my internet?

 

I finally got to the homepage, but it still takes long to load. I did like the site, however.

 

Very nice icons next to the different forums, I love them. The color scheme is very fine and your logo is great (the bored guy) lol. Nice forums, I think I'll join.

Hmm, regarding ad.. is there too much ad?? and also the header, i tink it's alittle small.. anybody agrees?

hmm.. maybe because of the icons it's slow.. i've changed the size.. is it any better?
