Anybody read Iain Banks - Wasp Factory, Crow Road, The Bridge etc.? I just finished The Business. Bit of a disappointment but there you go. Whose name is on your bedside table - if you have any time for reading after hanging out here all night and checking Adsense every five minutes, that is?
Usually it's textbooks and research articles. the past two weeks it's been baby books. I wouldn't mind some suggestions for good fiction books though. Been awhile since i've strayed from non fiction related reading.
Well what kind of books do you read? I am not into bodice rippers but love a good murder. As far as baby books go, are you a CIO girl or not? I´m not, just could never do it. I just got the no cry sleep solution by E. Pantley and so far - so brilliant!
Can't have an awful lot of input on the baby books, but can make recommendations on some fiction though Tony Parsons is good. His first book "Man and Boy" was later made into "About a Boy" starring Hugh Grant (The book is actually good though). Chuck Palahniuk is excellent, if a little sadistic. He's the guy who wrote fight club. I recommend "Survivor" and "Lullaby" (But they're all pretty good if not a little similar in style). The late great, Hunter. S. Thompson wrote a fantastic book called "The Rum Diary". A working holiday in Costa Rica (I think it was) fuelled by lots of rum and hamburgers. Very good fun. Mark Chadbourne is a good read if you like Fantasy books as is Phillip Pullman (A little bit on the blasphemous side though). Lots more but can't think of them off the top of my head.
Not a big book, but I love Jonathon Livingston Seagull (Richard Bach) - a good pick you up after getting nowhere fast in serps
