I wrote a pretty darn good article (toots own horn) with instructions on how to get thousands of targeted visitors to your site for free. It is totally white hat, no trickery here. Because the article is only ~500 words, I think I will have trouble selling it as an ebook (it is more of an epage). What should I do? I feel I have the following options: Make the article longer winded ie. 1500-200 words and try to sell it as an ebook. Post it to article directories for the back links to my sites. Post it to my general blog. Seems kind of a waste since it would be the only post on my blog about website traffic. None of the above. What should I do with it to gain something from my work?
Does your guide include a StumbleUpon guide? Because I wrote one for a JV that never really went beyond the notes stage, and I could finish it and make an e-book of it with your material. Let me know if you want to see the manuscript.
If you are not having great future plans about it ,I would suggest you better try selling it on DP itself.
Yeah, definitely attempt to sell it first as is. Write a nice blurb on what it's about and the audience the content would attract. If that doesn't work out, then pick one of your options. Submitting it to an article site (ezinearticles.com is my fav) can always bring a return when the article is published to various websites. The next thing you know, your name is all over Google. It's a good way to build a rep across the board. Best of luck.
I was actually contacted by a DP member who made me a nice offer for it, so I sold it off. Next time I have the same dilemma I will probably try an article submission site.
Sell PLR to it, so other people can worry about finishing it up and selling the ebook. Or, Create a short pdf-report and use it as a free gift to build a list. use it for giveaway events and such.
I was going to suggest that you use it as a viral marketing tool, but you seem to have found a great solution already. Congrats on selling your article!
