I'm new to this forum as my status indicates but I'm not new to the writing field. I am a journalism school graduate (University of Oklahoma) who honed my writing skills while in the military. I was first published in 1984 in the largest subscriber based Sales newsletter in the United States at that time and had articles published in major magazines thereafter. I also was a columnist for 2 California newspapers for 3 years. I've also been a professional speaker and seminar producer/host. To say I love to write and present would be an understatement. Today, I've moved onto the Internet. Thank God for virtual real estate. What a joy. From what I've seen (I wandered through the forum b4 posting this intro), this is a great forum so I look forward to interacting with the members. I'm only an email away for questions or help. Tom
Welcome! I'm a vet too, which service were you in? Army here... Anyways, this place is great... It covers just about every aspect from hosting, coding, design, constructive criticism, monetization help, help ranking, and tips for getting more traffic... I've only been here a month, and am very impressed with this group of people...
Since the Internet didn't exist when I first started publishing, offline was the only place to be to paraphrase a well known slogan. As for writing about online, or offline, marketing, yep I can do that if you want it . At the moment I only write about online marketing to my NL members. I am retired USAF. I didn't feel like slogging swamps in Viet Nam so I joined the "fly-over" branch. Oops, just gave away my age... I would agree with you tarponkeith, this looks like a very good forum. When I was traipzing through earlier I noticed someone had a post about not getting paid for writing material for a website and he was going to take the web site owner to small claims court. Since I've had some experience with SC court, I tossed out a few nuggets. Hope he wins. Again, thanks for the welcome.
