There are threads here that were deleted, can you answer where the thread is, "tired of running adsense public service ads"

I'm a moderator at SEO Chat, although I can't really comment on your situation, because I don't know anything about it either way. It wasn't me that banned you, nor did I even know you *were* banned (I've never banned anyone there).

Hmmm... you're right. It wasn't intentionally deleted though. Yesterday there was a crash of one of the database tables (the threads) table, there was one other thread that was lost (the posts were not lost, just the thread header), which I rebuilt by hand. I should be able to track it down though, as the actual posts should still exist internally. And I should be able to rebuild it. Gimme a few minutes to track it down.

Bob if the truth about a situation means some company or person is discredited as you say just let the facts speak for themselves. If someone say's that Page Rank is a outdated technology or Google is doing something like introducing spyware into computing let the discussion exist, you put up your facts verses others.

You don't go about trying to hold your finger in the dam when it is ready to break, it will kill you if you try.

So anthonycea, why wouldn't you just ask, "what happened to the tired of running adsense public service ads thread?", rather than start accusing people?

Why did it takes us three pages of accusations and counter accusations before we could find out what the hell you were talking about? Why in the world would anyone purposely delete that thread?

This is a very friendly, open and tolerant forum. Those of us who have been here for some time would like to keep it that way. If you have a problem just tell us what it is. Someone will be happy to help you. Take a positive view and believe the best until proven wrong. It is a much better approach than what seem to be your modus operendum, which appears to be believe the worst until proven wrong.

I got the thread rebuilt. Thanks for letting me know BTW... (Google cache has some good uses sometimes to make it easy to figure out what the old thread number was). Anyway, it should be good to go... the only part I can't exactly determine when rebuilding was how many times the thread was viewed... so I just made up something random for it... (633 views). :)

But there was no problem with the posts table within the database, so none of the individual posts were affected.

I have developed a page on my website that lists censorship forums and those who believe in free speech online. The reason that I have published this page is to give live links to the free speech forums and to expose those who do not believe in free exchange of ideas in the webmaster community.

This is a interesting subject to many members since they want to know which forums have editorial integrity and those who do not.

I intend to continue to publish this page in the future. The reason, I have seen to many bias moderators that protect Google even when Google is on the wrong side of the issue. Google is introducing platforms with the main foundation being data mining (spyware) examples include the Google Toolbar, G-mail, Desktop Deskbar, all of these programs are based on data mining, now they want to Puff their way into your hard drive.

Some forums want to cover up for Google and will not allow free exchange of ideas.
This is what I intend to expose, forums that are not fair in allowing members to express their ideas with other members.

I am not blacklisting this forum, but I would have if you would have deleted threads or censored threads.

So ask, before you jump to conclusions.

As for your Google paranoia, I'm not wedded to Google one way or the other, but I have read your accusations before and I don't think you have substantial proof of these things.

I have both the Google and the Alexa toolbar loaded. When I run AdWare or SpyBot software to look for data mining programs they both identify Alexa, but neither identify Google. Do you think both of these software companies are also in league with Google?

Google data mines more information than Alexa, the spyware makers will add Google very soon, just wait and see. If you are interested I will post a page showing that Washington is about ready to outlaw Google and their spyware, why do you think they came out with voluntary regulation proposals yesterday.

Don't just make empty claims. Show us the evidence and let us judge for ourselves.

You actually have some really interesting information Anthonycea, you just brought it out in a different way than we are use to here, I think. I've never had a problem with Zoolander, thought he was a pretty funny guy.- but then again Im rarely at odds with anyone on forums

AFAIK, the Google Toolbar only data mines if you enable it.

The Wired article mentions a bill that will effect Government and services sold to the Government. It does not appear to address privacy at large in the public sector.

Bernard did you click on the links within the article, or go back to the original link a couple posts up and you will find a additional link that has many links in it about private software companies data mining. I added the link to the above page a few seconds ago.

    I am 100% confused.

Do we want to know details, or should this thread just be deleted?

If you have things to say, then great! But say them in such a way that doesn't accuse people and make them resent each of your posts...

Had you broached the spyware topic with some degree of respect (not for Google but for the members of this forum), then perhaps people would take what it is you are saying seriously. Instead, as it is, I have absoutley no interest in what you are saying whatsoever...

Fine, Google may be using spyware in there software, but exactly is that doing to your internet use?

Do you get annoying popups on a regular basis as a result of Google? Do you have your personal information used in such a way that it has a massive inpact in your life or online business activities? Is google targetting only you?

    I think not...

    -----------

In regard to the accusations you have made about SEOchat, why don't you give us a little more information as to what ecactly were the sircumstances for your removal for the forum? I find it hard to believe that you would have been booted off purley for asking a question that someone didn't know how to anwser...

There must have been some reason for your removal, and quite frankly, if any of your posts at SEO chat had resembled this one, then I think it quite right that you were removed...

I'm sure that you have some interesting things to say. So say them. but don't look like an idiot in the process. It is embarrasing to read.

That would be great if that website was an unbiased collection of information, but it's obviously not. Let see here, the titles on the link to the left, "Free Search, Not at Google", "Google, The Big Brother You Never Wanted", "Your in A Cult", etc. Looks to me like an anti-Google, conspiracy theory website. I think someone has too much time on their hands...
