I want to package and resell an awesome commenting script i wrote for mythkillers.com, another site I'm developing. It's a mock up of the old Digg style commenting system that i wrote from scratch using javascript, php, and mysql.

you can view a preview of it below

Where should I begin or how should I go about copyrighting or licensing to resell it?

I've done some research but couldn't find a site that offers copyrights on scripts.

    Thank you. :D

PLEASE REMOVE THIS POST WRONG CATEGORY! SORRY!

as far as copyrighting, it's automatic:

The two items below are from a faq at: http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#mywork

    When is my work protected?
Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.

Do I have to register with your office to be protected?
No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section “Copyright Registration.”

Copyright protection just means they can't copy your code. Unless you can trademark a process, people can still write functionally equivalent scripts. Just as AMD's chips can run "Wintel" software.
