    Hey digitalpoint

Now there is a particular niche that I have stumbled upon that seems to be untapped... okay well maybe not the most creative way to put it, but the owner has not thought about it in terms of capitalism, so I though it may be a good chance for me to take advantage of the situation.

The particular site that I am interested in is actually a forum site  they may not be the highest earners but they have potential. Anyway as mentioned previously the owner of this super crazy, active and one a kind forum has made no attempt to use the forum to generate any sort of revenue what-so-ever :p

I was hoping to get in contact with the good man that owns this forum and see if we can come to some kind of arrangement.. well it didn't go so well :(

When I tried to contact him via e-mail and his forums PM system, he completely ignored me. I assumed he mustn’t be keeping up with personal contact so I attempted to contact him through his forum in a post. Sadly the response was GET OUT and my thread was locked

I am not sure exactly where this guy is coming from? Maybe he thinks I am a scammer, or maybe he has plans to taking his site public himself someday.

Either way I am at a loss for what to do next, I don't want to let it go as I see this could be an opportunity for me if I play my cards right. Could you experts here digital point give me some advice on how I might win this guy over?

    Thanks

Well, GET OUT, is such a strong phrase. You might hit some nerves.

I suggest that you present to him your business plan in a more professional manner so he would know you are serious about doing business with him. You can create a word document of your proposal or even a Powerpoint presentation, whatever works best.

    Goodluck!

Why don't you setup a same niche forum then compete with the forum owner?
It should be better coz you have 100% control of the site.

A hostile takeover is always won with cash. Make him a offer that he can't turn down.

Some things can't be bought with money. For instance, www.whirlpool.net.au is a massive forum in Australia, with only one ad on it from the hosting company to pay for the servers. The owner is already already financially secure and isn't interested in money. Some sites, like whirlpool, you'll only be able to buy at a price that wouldn't be worth buying at.
