I have a domain which i want to sell as soon as possible but befor that i would like to know its worth. Domain: fundback.com Its a pr0 domain. Thank You.
This should be moved to the Appraisal sub-section. @OP: You can sell it for as much as a potential buyer is willing to pay for it. Different domains are sold at different prices depending on different factors: traffic, typins, exact keyword match, extension, number of letters in the domain (and their quality), positioning of letters, brandable-ity factor, past sales, whether or not it was dropped, existing backlinks (if any and from where), age, if the same domain in other ext were sold on a public auction (at what price/where)... So you see...there are MANY factors that come into play! As far as this domain goes, it was dropped 4 times which DOES AFFECT it's resale price negatively. I dont see it selling for anything more than reg fee on a reseller platform. When it comes to enduser (and I doubt that you will find a lot for this one)...it could go for xx to high xxx max!! Unlikely though!! I dont consider myself any expert. However, I currently own about 200 domains and have sold a few from low $xxx to mid $xxxx. Domaining is a learning process...MANY mistakes need to be made before you start getting the hang of things
I think max $5. This is price for domain: PR3 $15-$25 PR4 $35-$70 But, if your domain is a good niche, you'll get over $100.
Thats a good domain IMO. Lending institutions would be willing to pay 4-digit price for it. But with individuals (especially here over at DP) dont be surprise if you get offers less than a dollar. Anyway, you just recently registered it and want to sell 'as soon as possible'? I understand all the factors you mentioned except one. May I know why would a previously dropped domain be of a lesser value compared to a non-dropped domain?
I know here on DP i will not get the right price. Can you suggest me some good place where i can sell this domain? Thank You.
Try googling it. SEDO perhaps? You really have to be lucky though to be able to sell that in the 4-digit range.
From a reseller perspective, a good domain is unlikely to be dropped. If it IS dropped, it usually has an extension that's not workable...Most dropped domains are "picked up" thru backorders... To be honest, I have 1 dropped domain myself but it's LL.biz. It's just from experience that I have realized that most domains that are sold at high price are aged + non dropped. On top of that, another risk with dropped domains is that if there was a website on the domain before (with backlinks etc), and the current owner decides to create a site that's different from the niche the domain was previously used for...the "new" site often gets penalized. I have seen many domains in this situation fall into sandbox!
I have read some articles about domain value from this so called domain gurus and none of them talked about dropped domains. I personally have had good .com domain names that I register for the heck of it, never been used but let it expired because I was broke. LOL. It can be justified though!
I just checked the value of this domain on valuate.com and its showing $400. When i proceeded ahead to sell, it was saying: Buy-It-Now sale price: 25% of the appraisal value: $100 (Premium Members can set up to 40%) What does this mean? I am not understanding buy the sentence: 25% of the appraisal value: $100 Can anyone explain? Thank You.
Hah! Domain gurus...OK. This is the way I see it...not only as a domainer but as a developer too. Many domainers have little to no knowledge about link building or online marketing. They wont talk about downsides of a domain name simply because they are here to "sell". The art is to make a domain look as attractive as possible to improve it's potential resale value. As a developer, my views on this is likely to be different than a domainer. @VineetB The appraisal value doesnt mean the price at which you will sell the domain. I have domains that are appraised at over $15000 (on Estibot/Valuate) and i know they would never for that price on a reseller platform. Not even @ 25% of it. The 25% part if just for you to have an idea of the price (around) the domain is likely to sell for if you push it to auction. It's automated though...doesnt mean that the domain would sell for that price or the starting bid of a $100 would attract buyers. It's just an "automated approximation". Here is a suggestion: a developed domain is worth waaaay more than an undeveloped one. Why dont you try to develop the domain first and then look for a buyer? An undeveloped domain that is "just brandable" is unlikely to go for a high amount unless the domain itself is heavily promoted prior to auction(not easy to do for a just hangregged though)
I don't think it's too valuable. It really doesn't mean anything to me. Fund Back? I don't think those words are used together very often. so ~ $25 or so.
