I'm new to the stumpleupon marketing, I would like to know if it really work? Is this type of marketing is just short term to gain short term traffic or its a long term traffic builder? What are the ways stumple helps a website? If stumpleupon really works, I would like to buy some stumble and or stumble me and I stumble you. Depends on the topic. I have two brand new sites and got them both stumbled. One went from 10 uv /day to 300. The other site (completely different topic) went from 5 uv/day to 12. The increased traffic on the first site only lasted for the day
oh, forgot to mention that I discovered your site. please stumble: http://tinyurl.com/25y5xq add http://sencia.stumbleupon.com/ as a friend if you like
For me it works, bringing about 50-100 visitors a day from stumbleupon, cant say it is a lot but at least there is some.
Absolute waste of time unless your site appeals to a wide audience. Lots of topics to go for in that sense, just use your imagination.
just threw 300 stumbles your way, tell us tomorrow if you think stumble works or not ps it definitely does
I agree that the outcome depend on what type of website you stumble. if visitors are interested in it, traffic will improved.
Hey, in less than 3 days here's what I've got from SU on a new website! Not very good keywords either, great keywords will certainly get more than I did
those figures above are very small compared to what i normally notice, when i set up a new proxies throw alot of stumbles at it (i offer a 300 stumble service for $3 btw), i normally get the best part of 1000 visitors the first day out of it (depends on the time of day and what tags you use)
You will get traffic This traffic won't click ads This traffic will NOT come back again In brief it is one time traffic.
I think you are right, you will get 300 visitor one day and only 5 the next, I think stumble will work if you have a good story people will run with or if you have the next hot item everyone need and its in demand. Then I think if you stumble that page, you will gain lots of sale, at the same time, I dont think stumble will give you permanent traffic.
Indeed. Social bookmarking sites produce smartass visitors (50%+ use Firefox, 25 - Opera and just 25% are common people with IE installed =) ) which won't click anything and very rarely visit more than one page on your site(s). Saw feedback about such traffic on reddit: in discussion about "those dam spammers earn mad paper from social sites" guy said AdSense produced $4.7 from 160+ THOUSANDS unique visitors after his site was featured on digg/reddit/etc. first pages. Good things about social traffic are: 1) they use Alexa plugin alot - your rating will jump up for sure (my new picture site got 8k week average after just one picture made it to Digg's first page); 2) you can use those freaky CPM ads to monetize social bookmarking sites traffic. Treat those visitors like crap traffic because they are =) (don't mistook MySpace/Facebook traffic and social bookmarking sites traffic - these are different things)
here is a proof: http://www.niessuh.com/stumbleupon/ 1 stumble (i stumble my self) = 400+UV and 1k hits
Traffic seems to depend on various factors, 2 of them important a) the site is really interesting (at least giving the impression) b) the category is right One of my sites did receive >> 100 K visitors via stumbleupon sinmce November, but is indeed a non-commercial site with a very unique appeal. In the first days it had over 10 K visitors daily, but still now its around 1K daily. There came a huge amount of backlinks, so PR has risen from 3 -> 4 -> 5 since November, and eventually could become a PR 6. Certainly not only related to stumbleupon, but definetly helping in the way that many people see the site. I have a blog on this site, and someone did stumble this, bringing 1.200 visitors in a day, but this stopped immediately (as nothing brilliant was in the blog post quite logical) Two other sites do 100 resp. 200 visitors daily from stumbleupon, quite stable. The rest of sites is bringing nothing, as they seem to be not attractive. But as others said: Commercially seen stumbleupon is not really attractive. People look for fun, not for adsense !!
It does get you lots of traffic, apart from backlinks. Some of my sites stumbled 4 months back still get decent amount of hits from stumbleupon. I've been offering stumble upon services here at DP for the past 4 months (until DP recently banned Social bookmarking services) and have executed about 500 orders. Most of my clients have reported nice and stable traffic from Stumble Upon.
short period of time. Got about 100 stumbles in a day (service) and got a fair amount of traffic. But i'm not receiving it anymore
