i would like to create sites like MY SPACE ,FACEBOOK

okay how much does it cost for a good designing and hostage for such sites ?
consider i have 5000+ users.

For starters, get a normal shared hosting account until the site gets some use. When you start seeing speed issues because of high usage or the site gets big enough for you expect high uptime, upgrade to a VPS or dedicated. With all the questions you've asked, I'm assuming you have any experience with server administration so I recommend getting a managed server. Though it all comes with a cost. Try doing some research for yourself, you've asked a lot of basic questions that the other user's probably quickly google'd to help you.
