I would like to create a BitTorrent tracker?

Any hints on how to do that?

I read the For developer section @ bittorrent but couldn't make nothing out if it (its more of a paradigm).

I will program it using PHP, but that is not the matter.

I want to get the general idea of how the connection, sending and receiving works.

Any links, sites or scripts will help.

Currently I am studying a former client in PHP.

Thanks for any help and/or guide.

    Peace,

Although it sounds as though you don't want an existing solution that may still be a good place to start. There are plenty of scripts on hotscripts to choose from. Look for one with clear coding and plenty of comments and if you can find a developer who is willing to talk you through the more confounding parts of their script then all the better!
