I would like suggest a new category

I am very new on the boards as an registered user though have been long time user viewing the Digital Point Boards.

I would like to suggest for a new category to be created.

The category would contain articles or tutorials. I have seen many people asking on the dp boards by using the same question "how,what,etc".

By creating the category people could give tips by publishing articles or maybe even giving backlinks to their websites by publishing their articles over here. The articles could be based nearly on everything.

Like for instance

How to get your websites indexed within 24 hours.
What are the purposes and how to enlarge your web directories etc.
Or how to create a web 2.0 touch and what effects does it have on your website.

(etc)

I was thinking to create a recepie tutorial of how to make spaghetti I just came up with this idea.This would also bring a library (wikipedia style) of nearly anything. Of course maybe this has been discussed before but I insist of creating such a category.

A tutorial forum categorized with already existing categories?

Not going to happen, there are actually tutorials and guides within each of their corresponding categories and this is not a wiki, otherwise we would have the ability to contribute with it, have our own blogs and other forum addons which are not setup as of today.

By the way, has anyone realized how old are contributions to DP's gallery except for a few recently added pics?

 

That's an interesting point.

 

Articles like that belong within the existing category structure. Categories are topical, not based on types of posts.
