Hey guys, I would like some feedback on the name below. I am considering using it as a company of companies so to speak, the central business name that owns many other buseinesses. What does the name say to you, is it easy to pronounce/remember? Does it mean something I should know about? I appreciate the help!

A quick Google search shows this name is already being used by an online video company so I would check on the legal side of using this name before you decide to go with it.

I think you are referring to Anvato, not the same as the name I am thinking of using. I am not starting a video platform or anything close to that so I think I will be fine. Thanks for the tip though! :)

Well I break it down like this 'An Veto'

    Define: VETO

    Noun
A constitutional right to reject a decision or proposal made by a law-making body: "a veto over appointments to key posts".

    So An Veto (No Sense)

But - using together you can make up anything just like yahoo, google (Googol) misspelled zynga etc. It has branding potential

Thanks for breaking it down, I think I was most worried about the veto part but I think if I make it a "brand" so to speak and emphasize the one word and ingnore the veto part then people won't really think about it when they hear Anveto. At least I hope so :p

do a google search for company name generator. You will be offered with numerous options to mix and match the company names.

I don't know how things work in Sweden, but in the US it is not such a good idea to have a company that owns other companies. If one gets in legal trouble, it could bring them all down. Better to form an independent entity for each idea with no intermingling of resources.

As for the name, as an English speaker I don't love it. It does not flow nicely to me. I would keep looking :)

Hi! If you want to form a Holding (a company which owns other companies, but does not run any business by itself) I would suggest to add the word... Holding :) in your company name. The name itself depends on which industries you want to invest in.

As Jack said: it may not be a good idea to have one company doing business and owning other companies. However, many big companies are/have holdings, which stay inactive. Good luck!

Haha, thanks, I wonder if people said the same thing about google, yahoo, or twitch before they gained a large audience (not saying anveto would ever become that popular, but I have dreams)

Anveto is short, it follows the construction of common words (voyels, consons) so you're good to go. It doesn't mean anything I know of in english or french. Veto is not a bad word anyway.
