Hello, Could you let me know which of these two footer designs you prefer? If neither appeals to you, that's fine too, just share your thoughts. The options are the footer with a charcoal #333333 background or the one with a greyish Isabelline #edeae8 color. I would be very grateful for any feedback you can provide.
Looking at the images, I prefer the footer with the charcoal #333333 background. It provides a strong contrast that makes the footer stand out and adds a touch of elegance to the design. This darker background can help anchor the page visually, especially if your content is lighter. However, if you want a more subtle and seamless look, the greyish Isabelline #edeae8 could work well too. It really depends on the overall feel you want for your site.
Thank you. I prefer the charcoal background too. I just need to figure out what link color to use on the charcoal, as only light colors seem to pass the WCAG AA test on https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/. I left the social icons white for the same reason. I need something for links that would harmonize with the other colors I'm currently using. In the header, I have magenta #a01f64, the body is #edeae8, and the teal for the button is #008080.
Hi, as a simple user, I don't see a huge difference between these pictures. However, I prefer the first one, where you have white text with information and links. It’s easier to see and understand. It's more easy for eyes)
According to the principle of design, it is mandatory to have header, body and footer separately. The more accurate the separation is, the more satisfied the end user is.
I prefer the black band - it's clear where the bottom of the page is, and of the two with the band I prefer the wider one - however that will depend on the type of images and text you're using. Some content suits a narrower format.
