    you can use the target location name in keyword like example keyword in newyork, example keyword in los angeles etc. You can add your website in local google listing.

    Try to search for usa directories & also get a backlinks from the local website, it will help you a lot to get ranking in the search engines

    While doing work whether that may be off site or onsite, firstly go to setting on Google toolbar and select Google.com. :)
