I wish to purchase a server for image hosting,which type is better ?

    I wish tu purchase a server for my orkut scraps(greetings) website,my contents are totaly 850 mb images and monthly bandwidth from photobucket hosting account is 3000gb,so they give notice for me to remove images from there,so i wsih to puchase a server for image hosting,for this type hosting whish is better ? Apache or Nginx kinly help me soon

    If you are going to run this for Images only, the Nginx of course. Lighttpd could be a alternative solution too in case you are planning to run dynamic as well. Good luck.

    You can use apache to compress your content and reduce bandwidth usage.

    I recommend Nginx to serve static content such as images and css. Apache is best at serving PHP pages.
