Personally, I feel ...$299 can do a lot for you. If you can effectively manage that amount, it will result in good number of backlinks and traffic. You can spend that amount on press releases and article submissions.
yeah..i also feel the same about it..spend more on article submission and PR..you should see the result way better
Hey guys thank you for the tips. Actually I still think of it. Google will release my revenue in couple days and I will spend $300 for yahoo and the result. I will share my comments after some time here. ref. articles - I also spend a lot of money for that and also did link building. thanks
I paid for one year of Yahoo! directory and they placed me on page 13 of my category. I am #1 on Google for my search term and #2 on Yahoo, yet I was placed on page 13 "based on pupularity." BS! I never got any PR or traffic, but the good news is that I cancelled the listing after the first year, yet the link is still active 3 years later! All-in-all an almost total waste of money!
The search engines are constantly changing what they feel is important in order to be ranked on page 1 or 2. I think the directory listings are becoming less and less important. Don't get me wrong having backlinks are important, I would just concentrate more on article directories to get backlinks rather than link directories.
for small business's it's a waste of money. for the big guns brand let's say Nike and Motorolla it's peanuts
Traffic - little to none Serps - can't say for sure All I can say is I'm not paying for it this year.
Never buy anything from Yahoo.... I bought a domain from them and had trouble ever since I sent that payment....
