Pretty much. I've seen people who want a laundry list of special requirements and academic quality articles for .50c per 100 words. People just follow the standards that everyone else has gone by. Everyone wants "samples" and everyone wants people who are willing to write for $0.01. I've been on the hiring end of content writing before. I have yet to find someone who can provide academic quality for $1.00 per 100 words and I always had to re-write nearly every article sent to me. Plus, the majority of writers you hire just stop talking to you after starting work or never deliver any of the work. It's really fun. So I want to see if there's anyone on DP looking for quality and to see if I can make $100 in a day writing off this board.
Don't listen to them Corey. I have been hired from people ON THIS FORUM to write a variety of different things for FAR more than $.015 per word. For my personal writing I typically get between $.08 and $.15 per word depending on the exact type of writing needed. True high quality writing is worth its weight in gold, never forget that. People offering to pay you $.005 per word are never going to get their sites to become profitable anyway so they won't be giving you long term work. That being said.... There are tons of people on the board trying to hire "technical" writers for their high profile tech sites for 5 bucks an article If you think you so cheap as to pay that amount and put it on a QUALITY blog, or website your site will not be quality for long I can understand wanting to outsource but seriously writing is a skill and it takes time. It is not like hiring a person to answer the phone Or someone to sew clothing in a factory Amazing the nutso demands of some of these people wanting to hire good writers and then they add I AM WILLING TO PAY 3 DOLLARS FOR 500 WORDS LOL and you want NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS TOO, don't you?

Nope afraid I fell $20 short. I didn't get a lot of inquires. A lot of people wanted "samples" and wanted me to do .50c per 100 words. I don't particularly like bragging but I know my quality and the articles I deliver are worth far more than $1.00 per 100 words but this is what I charge as a baseline minimum. Plus, the last who knows how many jobs I've done never left me ITrader so I need to work on building that up again.
